Pilates In The Park with Maria

ABOUT THIS CLASS

Join us for a one-hour Pilates mat class that welcomes all experience levels. Pilates is a mindful movement practice that improves coordination, strength, balance, and posture through a series of flowing, full-body exercises performed on the mat. Using your own body weight as resistance, we’ll take it back to the classical roots of Pilates—building strength from the inside out.

Whether you’re stepping onto the mat for the first time or you're a seasoned pro, this class will help you feel stronger, more flexible, and refreshed from head to toe.

CLASS TIME & LOCATION

🕕 Time: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
📍 Location: Coles Street Park – Interior Stairs

WHAT TO BRING

  • Mat – Essential for comfort and support during floorwork

  • Water Bottle – Stay hydrated throughout your flow

  • Towel – Keep dry after those deep-core burnouts

  • Breathable Sports Attire – Comfort and movement-friendly clothes

  • Light Jacket – Just in case there’s a chill in the evening air

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR: MARIA K

Meet Maria K, your vibrant and passionate Pilates guide! Originally from Belarus, Maria’s journey began as a professional folk dancer, and she brings that same rhythm, creativity, and body awareness into every class. With over a decade of Pilates experience, she combines classical technique with dynamic energy.

Since moving to New York in 2021, Maria has become a proud member of the New York Road Runners, completing marathons and races across the city. Her classes are energizing, form-focused, and fun, with unique sequences designed to boost strength, stability, and mobility.

Maria’s love for movement, travel, and community shines through in every session. Join her on the mat and walk away feeling empowered, inspired, and a little bit stronger every time.
